At a public meeting arranged by the Greenhills Residents’ Association, it was commented that there appeared to be little or no facilities available in Greenhills for teenagers. The Community Garda responded, suggesting that the community investigates the option of providing a youth club under the umbrella of ‘Club 4 U’. The Greenhills Residents’ Association took the suggestion on board and together with Garda Martin Brady and other members of our community to explore the idea of developing Club 4 U in Greenhills. Club 4 U ran for a short period of time but as it was for 16 to 18 year olds it was limited in the number of young people that could become members.

The parish, with support from the Holy Spirit Church, established a new youth iniative in early 2010. The group has an active committee of teenagers guiding the groups activities.
